It is our strict policy to only sell to individuals; we will never sell to pet shops or brokers. To make sure our animals get the forever home they deserve, we carefully interview all potential owners.
Step 1: Application
If you're interested in a puppy from The Shih Zoo, please complete an application. You'll be asked to provide information about yourself and what you are looking for so The Shih Zoo can help you find the right match. Once you apply, The Shih Zoo will contact you about availability, pricing and next steps.

Future Shih Zoo Owners Checklist
We want to ensure our puppies are going to safe, loving homes. We also want to match the right puppy with the right owner.

Step 2: Deposit
Once your application is approved by the Shih Zoo, a $200 non-refundable deposit is required to be placed on the waiting list. This deposit will be applied toward the purchase price of the puppy that you choose.

Deposits are requested and completed through the Good Dog website. Buyers can pay securely on Good Dog with any major credit or debit card or via bank transfer. Buyers can choose to pay with no fees or they can purchase Protection & Support to receive extra benefits.
Step 3: Waiting List
With an approved application and a completed deposit, names will be placed on a waiting list.

Those on the waiting list will be offered their choice of the next litter in the order they were placed on the waiting list. If the color and/or sex of a puppy is not available in the current litter, the deposit can be transferred to an upcoming litter.
Forever Shih Zoo
At The Shih Zoo, we continue to care about our animals long after they leave us. This website is a source of information for Shih Tzu owners. Owners are also welcome to contact the Shih Zoo with questions. We love helping people learn to take care of their newest family member! The Shih Zoo will welcome any puppy back to the Zoo if the owner becomes unable to care for them. The Shih Zoo will work to re-home the puppy to a safe and loving family.
